(Arlington, Va., June 30, 2026)–RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment)® supports the recent actions by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Pesticide Programs under Administrator Zeldin’s leadership to address the backlog of pending pesticide registration actions.

“This action represents meaningful progress toward bringing innovative pest management and public health solutions to market for the benefit of consumers, businesses, and communities,” said RISE Executive Director Scott Herndon. “Our members and the public are now closer to realizing the benefits of new, innovative pest management and public health solutions.”

RISE members provide essential pest management products that protect green spaces, public health, businesses, infrastructure, and natural resources. Meeting these challenges requires an integrated approach to pest management, including access to EPA-registered pesticides that have undergone rigorous scientific review. These tools help maintain greenspaces in parks, sports fields, schools, homes, golf courses, and other community spaces; control mosquitoes, ticks, and rodents that carry disease; protect our food safety post-harvest, protect our nation’s public utilities, waterways and drinking water, rights-of-way, and infrastructure from invasive weeds to ensure reliable delivery of electricity; and manage overgrowth, vegetation, and brush that pose fire hazards.
